Biography
Hailing from Seattle, Washington, 21 year old Andrew Evans has a large racing pedigree and is quickly establishing himself as one of America’s top young Prototype drivers. For 2019, Andrew is competing in the premier four race Michelin Endurance Championship, building on his prior successes with Performance Tech Motorsports that date back to 2016. In March, Evans won the 12 Hours of Sebring.
2017 and 2018 saw Andrew succeed in both Europe and the United States. This included several podium finishes, one win, and a strong 4th place finish in the British LMP3 Cup with teammate, and recently retired 2x All-Star MLB player, CJ Wilson. In addition, he raced select events in the IMSA Prototype Challenge Championship for Charles Wicht Racing and Performance Tech Motorsports.
Andrew is on-track virtually every week, as lead instructor for ProFormance Racing School in Seattle. He also travels frequently to drive professionally at marketing events for auto manufacturers including Jaguar Land Rover. Beyond his on-track efforts, Andrew utilizes his marketing and promotion expertise to represent automotive manufacturers in their marketing campaigns at events around the country.
Andrew’s racing started in karts at age 8, and hit high gear at age 14 with his podium shifter kart performance at SKUSA Supernationals, the largest kart race in the world. At age 15, Andrew received a scholarship to drive an F1600 car with Lynx Racing Team, coached by Steven Cameron. At age 16, Andrew competed in both the Pacific Formula F2000 series and the SCCA Majors Tour with PR1 Motorsports. Evans won the Pacific F2000 championship with 3 wins, and 7 podiums, and would go on to place second in the SCCA Majors Tour. Furthermore, he broke track records at Laguna Seca and Pacific Raceways, and placed second at the SCCA National Runoffs in Formula Continental.
